Four single mothers have since graduated from a accredited college ranging from David Lipscomb to MTSU to TSU. Single mothers are becoming role models for their families to help each assume responsibility not only for their own wellbeing but also the wellbeing of our community. I. C. White Stone has provided life-changing opportunities to more than 50 single mothers and their families, representing more than 12 different schools and homes. Impartiality and Equal opportunity Mothers touch every life in society. I Tim. 2:15 says since mothers spend the majority of time with youth, we have the opportunity to achieve the most good or the most bad. These odds are compounded when she lacks the needed necessities to properly nurture and educate her children. Moms are raising the world’s future leaders and should have the basic necessities. Families and youth thrive when they live in neighborhoods that are impartial. An impartial community is concerned with the well being of all its members; it celebrates and capitalizes on differences in abilities, values and cultural heritages. An impartial community encourages all citizens to have understanding for the struggle of others and applies resources toward the resolution of those struggles. Our goal is to model to the East Nashville neighbors that helping others helps us all. And togehter we can build this type of community. I don’t want my neighborhood to become a place of the haves and the have nots. The I. C. White Stone Foundation is leading single families in the development of a new generation of informed, active and engaged citizens, who recognize inequality and are prepared to lead change against it.
